Kim has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Foreign Affairs with a minor in Spanish and a Master's degree from the University of Richmond in Political Science. She first started taking classes in HTML and web design in 1995. Her most recent course work includes Social and New Media e-Marketing at the University of Virginia in Spring 2010.

Kim's experience includes fifteen years working with the Internet, including web design and online content creation, editing and management. Her professional experience includes work with the following:
